THESE ARE THE PROBLEMS FOR WHICH WE HAVE TO TACKLE
Air pollution is one of the most serious and malignant problems that the whole world is confronted with. In addition to this wastage of petroleum is also a serious problem according to an estimation till 2050 it will be exhausted.
So to tackle with this problem we have been working on our system ELECTRIC GENERATOR EXHAUST AND PURIFIER SYSTEM
Ò THE WORKING OF MY SYSTEM IS THAT IT WILL GENERATE ELECTRICITY FROM WASTEFUL HEAT FROM THE VEHICLE EXHAUST SYSTEM IT WILL ALSO PURIFY THE AIR COMING OUT OF ENGINES AND LEAD TO LOWER THE LEVEL THE POLLUTION.T HIS SYSTEM WILL BE INSTALLED IN THE EXHAUST SYSTEMS OF VEHICLES.

Ò In this model, I had worked with the exhauster pipe in vehicles. I had used THERMOELECTRIC COOLANT MODULE (TEC) in the exhauster such that when heat is supplied to it from an engine that heat is used to generate a huge amount of electricity. this heat is totally waste I'm using this waste energy to generate electricity. the electricity generated will be used to run the digital parts of vehicle which will be sufficient run the digital parts of vehicle like headlight, horn, airconditioner (A.C) etc which will lead to conservation of petrol for example:- a non ac car had a millage of about 26km/litre while an ac car had a millage of 17 km/litre after my system installation we will save huge amount of petrol about 40% and the millage of ac car will increase to 27-28 km/litre ensuring that the petroleum will only be used to run the engine.
Ò WORKING OF THERMOELECTRIC COOLANT MODULE (TEC)
Thermoelectric are based on the Peltier Effect, The Peltier Effect is one of the three thermoelectric effects; the other two are known as the Seebeck Effect and Thomson Effect.Whereas the last two effects act on a single conductor, the Peltier Effect is a typical junction phenomenon.Thermoelectric coolers are solid state heat pumps used in applications where temperature estabilization, temperature cycling, or cooling below ambient are required. There are many products using thermoelectric coolers, including CCD cameras (charge coupled device), laserdiodes, microprocessors, blood analyzers and portable picnic coolers. Ò Seebeck EffectThe conductors are two dissimilar metals denoted as material A and material B. The junction temperature at A is used as a reference and is maintained at a relatively cool temperature (TC).The junction temperature at B is used as temperature higher than temperature TC. With heat applied to junction B, a voltage (Eout) will appear across terminals T1 and T2 and hence an electric current would flow continuously in this closed circuit. This voltage as shown in Figure17.1, known as the Seebeck Effect
Ò Peltier Effect
Peltier found there was an opposite phenomenon to the Seebeck Effect, whereby thermal energy could be absorbed at one dissimilar metal junction and discharged at the other junction when an electric current flowed within the closed circuit.In Figure 17.2, the thermocouple circuit is modified to obtain a different configuration that illustrates the Peltier Effect, a phenomenon opposite that of the Seebeck Effect. If a voltage (Ein) is applied to terminals T1 and T2, an electrical current (I) will flow in the circuit. As a result of the current flow, as light cooling effect (QC) will occur at thermocouple junction A (where heat is absorbed), and a heating effect (QH) will occur at junction B (where heat is expelled). Note that this effect may be reversed where by a change in the direction of electric current flow will reverse the direction of heat flow. Joule heating, having a magnitude of I2 x R (where R is the electrical resistance), also occurs in the conductors as a result of current flow. This Joule heating effect acts in opposition to the Peltier Effect and causesa net reduction of the available cooling.
Ò Thermoelectric Principle of
Operation
Ò The typical thermoelectric module is manufactured using two thin ceramic wafers with a series of P and N doped bismuth-telluride semiconductor material sandwiched between them as shown in Fig and the necessary electrical insulation. The N type material has an excess of electrons, while the P type material has a deficit of electrons. One P and one N make up a couple, as shown in Figure 17.5. The thermoelectric couples are electrically in series and thermally in parallel. A

THIS electricity generated will be used to run the digital parts of vehicle which will be sufficient run the digital parts of vehicle like headlight ,horn , aircondioner (A.C) etc.and lead to conservation of petrol.
Ò After the setup of TEC module in exhauster pipe, I have used a semi permeable membrane of petroleum jelly in silicon bags . This is a product by which we can lower the level of pollution as petroleum jelly is a good exsorber of carbon monoxide and sulphur dioxide and nitrogenous oxide . After the absorption of these gases the air coming out the exhauster will be clean and pollution free. There are some more ways to to purify the air coming out of the exhaust but they are too expensive..such as catalytic converter . Its starting price is 4000$. In addition to this we will also have to pay for its installment and maintenance. These devices use some of the most expensive metals such as platinum and rhodium.
